A new statistic reveals the top 10 most expensive forwards currently in the English Premier League football competition, and it was noteworthy that it did not include the name of the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the top scorer for Liverpool.
The British newspaper “Mirror” mentioned that young Norwegian Erling Haaland, a Manchester City forward, tops the list of the most expensive forwards in the Premier League, confirming that this is not surprising compared to what the player has offered to his team in the previous season, in addition to his numbers in the new season.
The Football Observatory, which revealed this list, relied on several factors, most notably the players’ numbers and data, what they offered to their teams in the 2022-2023 season and the beginning of the current 2023-2024 season, in addition to their current contracts with their clubs and their current age.
Here is the list of the top 10 most expensive forwards in the English Premier League currently:
10- Gabriel Jesus – Arsenal (80 million euros)
Jesus (26 years old) joined Arsenal in the summer of 2022 from Manchester City, after winning four titles in the Premier League and three in the English FA Cup.
Despite his long absence from “The Gunners” last season due to injury, he managed to score 11 goals after his return and provided 6 assists to his teammates. He also scored once in 3 matches this season, and his contract with the team extends until the summer of 2027.
9- Alexander Isak – Newcastle United (80 million euros)
Isak (23 years old) moved from Real Sociedad to Newcastle United at the beginning of the 2022-2023 season and left a good impression at “St. James’ Park” after scoring 10 goals in 22 English Premier League matches. He also scored two goals in 4 matches in the new season, and his contract with “The Magpies” extends until the summer of 2028.
8- Moussa Diaby – Aston Villa (80 million euros)

He contributed to the Uruguay national team with 12 goals in 29 matches (scoring 12 and assisting 3) in the previous season, and he added 2 goals and an assist in 5 matches in the new season.
4- Marcus Rashford – Manchester United (100 million euros)
Rashford (25 years old) may be the oldest forward among the names on this list, but his presence was achieved thanks to the recent contract he signed with the management, which will keep him at “Old Trafford” until the summer of 2028.
